The room has been reimagined into a high-style affair by bringing opulence back to the space where furs, silks, gold bars and coins were once stored. The craft cocktail lounge features the original brick ceiling and a room-spanning mural with a vivid narrative conceptualized, illustrated and hand painted.

The 50-seat eatery, with a 10-seat bar, sits directly across the street from La Fia. Open during dinner-hour, and later. No reservations are needed; Merchant Bar is aimed at walk-ins.

La Fia is an intimate bistro located on historic Market Street in Downtown Wilmington. Owned by James Beard Semifinalist Chef Bryan Sikora and his wife Andrea Sikora. Beard Nominee, Executive Chef Dwain Kalup prepares inventive, seasonal fare with a focus on local and sustainable ingredients. The diverse menu at La Fia allows diners to enjoy a light meal of small plates and small courses as well as rustic entrees.
